WEDNESDAY DEC 9, 5-7PM
THURSDAY DEC 10, 5-7PM
FRIDAY DEC 11, 5-7PM

The first three days of evening lessons will get students familiar with basic song structures, basic live sound setup for performance, and general collaboration, rehearsal, and stage etiquette.

SATURDAY DEC 12, 1-3PM
We’ll wrap up our three day workshop with an informal showing on the fourth day to share what we have worked on with our family and friends!

Students of all levels and instruments are welcome, and students who are excited about learning from others are especially encouraged to participate!

TEACHER BIOS

Dani Robbins is a Maine-based musician, dancer, and educator. She plays with local indie bands Boy Scout and Claire’s House as a bassist, vocalist, and songwriter. Dani and Rebecca collaborate on multidisciplinary performance projects that incorporate movement and sound design. Dani adores knitting, gardens, ocean swimming, and supporting young people in finding their spark.

Rebecca Lasaponaro is a multi-instrumentalist who enjoys sampling, mixing and music production, and drumming as loud as possible (with good technique). They have toured and recorded with bands And The Kids, Rubblebucket, Katherine Perkins, and Toth. Rebecca enjoys long walks on rocky beaches, swimming, and making dinner with friends.

This program is heavily inspired by Dani and Rebecca’s mentors at the Institute for the Musical Arts in Goshen, Massachusetts, where Rebecca was classically trained as a rock star. Thank you to our music guides.
