Downeast Song Crafters

A monthly gathering for people who write songs.

Downeast Maine brims with talented songwriters and musicians crafting music in every imaginable style. DownEast SongCrafters (DESC) was created by a group of enthusiastic songwriters who want to reach out to the greater community of folks writing songs, thinking about writing songs or want to explore this medium of expression in music. Their mission is to foster the capacity to craft, collaborate on, compare and share songs within Maine’s Downeast communities and out to the wider world.

Song crafting “Meet-Ups” are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6-8p and are led by a rotating group of talented songcrafters in the area. Attendees are
encouraged to bring a song, a “snippet” or idea they want to share or receive feedback on. Please bring your instrument. Piano is available. All levels are welcome. (A modest donation is appreciated at the meeting).

3rd Wednesday of the month; Sept 16, Oct 21, Nov 18, Dec 16, 6:00–8:00pm
6 State St, Ellsworth, ME 04605
